Models

GET /v1/models
Authorization: Bearer oxy_sk_...

Lists enabled models that are backed by a configured provider. Requires the inference:read scope.

Models available through your own provider credentials (BYOK) are included when the key’s owner has a stored credential for that provider.

Field Type Meaning
id string Stable public model ID. Send this value as model in chat requests.
object string Always model
created integer Unix timestamp used for display and ordering
owned_by string Always oxyrouter

This endpoint intentionally exposes only IDs and ownership metadata. Use the public catalogue for pricing, context windows, and capabilities.

GET /v1/models/{model_id}
Terminal window
curl https://api.oxyrouter.in/v1/models/gemini-2.5-flash \
-H "Authorization: Bearer $OXYROUTER_API_KEY"
{
"id": "gemini-2.5-flash",
"object": "model",

"owned_by": "oxyrouter"
}

Returns 404 with code model_not_found when the model is unknown, disabled, or not backed by an available provider.

A model appears only when all of the following are true:

  • the model is active;
  • at least one provider route is enabled;
  • the primary route’s provider is available, or the caller has a BYOK credential for it.

If a model is missing, check GET /v1/catalog/models and your provider credentials. Model IDs can stop being advertised when a provider is unconfigured or a route is disabled. Pin model IDs, but handle 404 model_not_found at runtime and fall back to another listed model.
